Description

Beloit College seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Chemistry starting August 2024. This is a benefits eligible, full-time, non-renewable 9-month position, and includes teaching two laboratory-based courses per semester. The candidate will be expected to teach one of the two core biochemistry courses and a section of introductory chemistry each semester. Candidates are expected to have completed the requirements (or all requirements but the dissertation) for the Ph.D. degree by August 2024. We especially seek candidates who have demonstrated success in working with diverse populations of students. This position is an excellent opportunity to teach in a department known for innovative pedagogy.

The department expects to launch a national search in fall 2024 for a tenure-track candidate for a similar position that will have a start date of August 2025.
